***MEDIA ADVISORY: ELECTRIC VEHICLE CONVOY COMING TO WEST TEXAS***
AUSTIN, TX – This week, Texas Electric Transportation Resources Alliance (TxETRA), Conservative Texans for Energy Innovation, Lightning eMotors, and Texas Electric School Bus Project are bringing a convoy of electric vehicles (including an electric school bus!) to San Angelo, Midland, and Lubbock on September 27 and 28. The tour aims to inform West Texas leaders and stakeholders about available electric transportation resources and encourage applications for available grants and incentives.
With each stop, local legislators, elected officials, utility companies, school district administrators, and community leaders are invited to delve into the abundance of funding that can enrich their hometowns and foster an electric transportation future in Texas.
“Bringing the EV roadshow to San Angelo, Midland-Odessa, and Lubbock is a game-changer for our electric transportation future,” said Tom “Smitty” Smith of the Texas Electric Transportation Resource Alliance. “We’re showcasing a range of electric vehicles, including an electric school bus, and providing a roadmap for electrifying Texas. We aim to boost local economies, collaborate with community leaders, and maximize electric transportation benefits, sparking growth in West Texas communities.”
